Coronavirus (COVID-19)
Important Notice
During this unprecedented period, Mark Jones Property Letting will be following the current guidance set out by the UK Government to ensure the safety of our staff and all our clients.
Our office for the time being will remain closed for visitors except for prearranged appointments were deemed absolutely necessary
Though our office doors will be locked, we remain open to serve all clients, unless Government or local restrictions say otherwise.
Viewing a Property
Prearranged viewings will still take place. To reduce the spread of the coronavirus it is important that only those serious about making an offer physically view a property.
Only vacant properties will be viewed. Block viewings will not be permitted as sufficient time to conduct necessary cleaning will need to take place.
A maximum of two viewers within the same household are permitted and we would discourage children from attending. A mask must be worn at all times during the viewing.
To ensure social distancing our representative will first enter the property alone to open all doors and windows, and put on all lights to reduce the need for viewers to touch anything. The viewer will then be allowed to enter alone and encouraged to spend the minimum amount of time possible inside the property.
If anyone intending to view a property has, or has the symptoms of coronavirus, is self-isolating or shielding, they should not attend the viewing and inform Mark Jones Property Letting immediately.
Repairs & Inspections
Repairs can still be reported and will be actioned by Mark Jones Property Letting.
Tradespeople will have to follow Government safer working guidance.
Routine inspections will only take place if deemed necessary. These will always be prearranged with the tenant and our visiting representative will wear protective equipment. The tenant will be informed before of all the necessary social distancing precautions and hygiene measures, they should follow.
Repairs and inspections cannot be conducted if anyone within the household has or has symptoms of coronavirus, or if anyone is self-isolating or shielding.
Rents
Rents are still due, however we do understand there are many households experiencing financial hardship during this time. A tenant should contact Mark Jones Property Letting immediately if they are in difficulty to discuss their case.
From all of us at Mark Jones Property Letting we hope you keep safe and well at this time.
