- Our database listing current properties to let and prospective tenants enables us to match the right tenant to the right property.
- Our website is updated weekly so that prospective tenants can keep up to date with our current lets.
- Viewings are arranged strictly through Mark Jones Property Letting and, if required, can be made for evenings or weekends.
- Our lets (unless otherwise stated) are all long term and commence with a six months Assured Shorthold Tenancy. These tenancies can continue on a month by month basis following the initial six months as a statutory periodic tenancy.
- Some of our landlords do accept housing benefit tenants, but these are subject to written references and guarantors.
- Not all properties accept pets, which are prohibited in all flats, please ask for details.
- To proceed with an application on a property, our agent’s fee is required; this includes the cost towards reference and credit checks. This fee is non-refundable should a prospective tenant withdraw their application, but is refundable less any fees already incurred should we decline a tenant.
- Employer and landlord references, plus a minimum of two character references are required for each applicant. All character references must be from trustworthy and reliable people.
- Two copies of I.D. are required e.g. passport, driving licence, utility bill.
- Prior to the start of a tenancy a full months rent in advance will be required along with a deposit.
- Deposits are required to pay for any damages or breakages liable to the tenant and are held until the termination of the tenancy within a government approved deposit protection scheme.
- Tenants are advised to take out contents insurance during their tenancies. We can recommend insurers if required.
- There is a no smoking policy in all our properties.
